NVSC Travel Teams will be holding open practice during May, if you are interested in looking into joining a NVSC Travel team, please contact the coach and/or manager of the team you are interested in and come out to one of their open practices.

Please read this entire page to get all of the details on NVSC Travel Tryouts before registering.

Here are some guidelines when registering for the NVSC Travel Tryouts:

• If your family has never registered anyone with NVSC in a recreational program or travel program then you are probably not in our NVSC online registration database.  Please register as "No player in my family has ever played in NVSC" on the registration screen.  If you have someone in our recreational database or travel database then you can select "At least one player in my family has registered before".
• You can put their school in but it will not be needed, just place any school into that field, we will be ignoring that field for the tryouts.
• The next field is District, you can put whatever district you want as we don’t use the districts for Travel as of yet.
• Click on the box for Travel Tryouts and if your player is trying out for a older team (for example your player is U10 in the Fall but is trying out for the U11 age group) please put the requested age group in the Special Request field (do not put the name of the team just the age group). ((This will not occur for the United structured age groups...the United coaching staff will decide if a player will play up on those teams.))  The Special Request Field only appears right next to the program selection...please make sure after clicking the Travel Tryout tick box you place your special request in the field to the right of the Travel Tryout selection.
• If you are currently playing up please register for tryouts as normal, you will be put into the age group you currently play for in our system...if you are then trying out for a United structured age group (03’s, 02’s, 01’s and 00’s on the boys side, 03’s and 02’s on the girls side) for the Fall 2013 season you will be moved to your correct age group at tryouts by our United coaching staff.
  
• Continue through Step 2 and 3 making sure that information is correct.  Then click on Proceed to Checkout (yes the tryouts are free but you must go through the Checkout process).  On the next screen scroll to the bottom and hit the I agree button to complete the registration.  You will receive a email confirming the registration.
• The email confirmation will ask for Proof of Age, this is not necessary at this time and if it is necessary later it will be requested by the travel team...please do not send anything now.
• For the U9 age group your player must have been born before 08/01/06 to tryout.  We allow players to play up one year during the U9 season but when it gets to playing up two years we discourage that.
   

NVSC Travel Tryout Registration is now open for all Fall 2013 - Spring 2014 NVSC Travel Teams.  There is no cost to tryout for an NVSC Travel Team but you must register.

U9 Boys and Girls Tryout Dates: May 20th and 21st with a rain date of May 22nd.

U10 to U19 Girls Tryout Dates: May 29th and 30th with a rain date of May 31st.

U10 to U19 Boys Tryout Dates:  June 4th and 5th with a rain date of June 6th.

Tryout dates/times are listed below in more detail.

Check In:  Please arrive to the field about 15 minutes early to allow for check-in at your designated field (schedule below).  You will pick up your tryout number at the pavillion each tryout night, numbers will be pinned to the back of your shirt.  Numbers need to be turned into the coach after tryouts each night.

What to Bring: Make sure you bring a ball, water and wear shinguards.  Also, all players should attend at least two tryout nights.  We provide three tryout nights to make it easier to work with your schedule.

Weather: In the event of inclement weather, announcements will be posted on our homepage (www.novasc.org) and reschedule dates may be announced but with three tryout dates available that might not be necessary. If you cannot attend either session, please contact the coach via email.

Selection Notification

U9 Boys’ and Girls’ coaches will begin to contact players on Thursday, May 23rd.  Rosters will be posted by tryout numbers on Monday, May 27th

U10 - U19 Girls’ coaches will begin to contact players on Monday, June 4th. Rosters will be posted by tryout numbers on Wednesday, June 6th.

U10 - U19 Boys’ coaches will begin to contact players on Monday, June 11th. Rosters will be posted by tryout numbers on Wednesday, June 13th.
