Fall 2017 - Spring 2018
NVSC presents our Player Development Academy for 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 Boys and Girls.
Run by our TDOC Hans Etienne, our Youth Player Development Director Ben Kamara along with other NVSC Professional Coaching Staff.
General Information and questions:
What is the Player Development Academy? The PDA is a 10 month program focused on the development of each individual player. In accordance with our vision to maximize the potential of each player; the Academy will provide an introductory foundation of individual skills for each player. The PDA will offer a developmentally appropriate curriculum that will create a challenging and competitive environment.
Do I need to quit my Recreational Soccer team? No, you are more than welcome to sign up for the Recreational Soccer program, along with the PDA program.
Does my child qualify age wise? If your player's birth date is in 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 he/she qualifies, if your player does not fit into these dates please contact our Youth Development Director Ben Kamara and Johnny Tulaganov.
How does my child join the PDA? To qualify for the PDA a player must be identified by one of our NVSC Professional Coaching Staff during games days, or recommended by your recreational coach, or attend the PDA Tryouts and be selected by an NVSC Coach to join the program.
What are the commitments of PDA? PDA will practice on Friday and Sunday evenings during during the soccer year. There will be Festivals with other CCL Soccer Clubs during the Fall and Spring seasons along with winter training over January and February. All Practices will be held at Hellwig Park.
Is my child good enough for the PDA? Players at the U6/U7/U8/U9 age groups are like sponges and they learn new skills very quickly. With this in mind at this stage we are very inclusive as we want to provide an opportunity for the player to develop. The main criteria is basic physical ability, agility, balance, coordination and an enthusiasm to play.
What are the fees?
Player Development Academy is a yearly fee of $600.00 (paid over multiple installments), there will be an additional Adidas uniform to be purchased, cost is TBD...this uniform will be for all practices and PDA games.
Why are our fees less than other clubs? We want to let you decide if you want to participate in only this program or if you want to keep playing rec on Saturdays. We will expect that the PDA schedule will take precedence over the rec schedule if there is a conflict.
