A Letter from the President

(Jan. 2018)

Happy New Year and Welcome to 2018!

The Board of Directors and Staff here at NVSC, hope that all of our members enjoyed the holidays and were able to spend valuable time with their family and friends. New Year's time is a celebration of our achievements, to reflect on the year past, and to plan another chapter for the new year. For NVSC, 2017 was another successful year, and we want to thank each and every one of our members for their support and for being a part of NVSC family.

As we head into the new year, NVSC is looking forward to continued success in 2018.  To recap, 2017 kicked off with a record setting number of recreational players registering for our programs at Hellwig, Valley View and Ben Lomond Park.  The successful execution of the season was a complement to our recreational AGCs, coaches and Director.   Later in 2017, NVSC was invited and accepted into the Club Champions League (CCL).  CCL is a premier league of teams in Virginia and Maryland that focus on the development of the player and ensuring that players are offered opportunities to expand their personal and athletic development as desired.  Also, in 2017, Hellwig Park was outfitted with a new concession and restroom facility, with space available for NVSC to conduct meetings and general business.  Later in 2017, three (3) of our teams made it to the SuperY finals competition in Bradenton, with our U12 girls making it to the semi-finals, only to lose in OT.

2018 promises to be another successful year for our members at NVSC.  Our BOD and Staff have been planning for the upcoming year to provide additional opportunities for our members.  The goal of NVSC is to provide a safe, fun and rewarding opportunity for everyone.  Collectively, we, the BOD, Staff and Members, will work toward making NVSC the best soccer program and organization in Virginia.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me directly at president@novasc.org.

Happy New Year,

Bill Gregory, President, NVSC
