2013 High School Summer League

League Description

Each team will be allowed to field 8 players, which includes the goalkeeper.  Your team will be allowed a maximum of 15 players on the roster.  Every team will play one game per week, total of 6 games for the entire league.  Only 8 teams allowed in the league for each age group so REGISTER HERE!

Facility

All summer high school games will be played on Saturday and Sunday’s at Hellwig (Turf) Memorial Park. 

League Rules

Registration

• Registration will be done individually.  Make sure you put which team you would like to play for or you will be placed on a team! Place this information in the special request field to the right of the program called High School Summer League
• Registration must be completed by the posted deadline
  
• Roster limit is 15 players
  

Guest Players

• Guest players are not allowed.  Each team may submit a roster up to 15 players.  Only those 15 players will be permitted to play.
• If a team has players not on the roster, the team will forfeit the game and a score of 0-3 will be recorded.  The game can still be played as long as the unrostered players sign a waiver and release of liability and the opposing team agrees to play the match 

Equipment/Uniforms

• Teams will receive game day t-shirts from NVSC.  T-Shirts must be used for every game.
• ALL PLAYERS must wear shin guards
• No jewelry of any kind may be worn during game play

Official Game Rules

• 25 minute half, 50 minute game, 5 minute half-time
• All play will be governed by FIFA laws except the following:
  • You must have at least 6 players to begin play or the game will be forfeited
  • No fans allowed on field, only players and maximum of 2 coaches
  • Substitutes can happen on any dead ball with the officials consent.
  • No slide tackles at any time
  • Every foul outside the 18 yard box is a direct free kick
  • No off-sides
  • Goalkeepers are NOT allowed to punt.  Goalkeepers can only throw the ball out.  Infraction of this rule will result in a direct kick at midfield for opposite team.
• 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 for a lose
• Yellow/Red cards will follow FIFA law
  • Any match that involves a fight will be terminated immediately.  The game will not be rescheduled and the two teams will not receive any points for that game.
  • Players who attempt to play during a suspension will be suspended for the rest of the league with no refund.

** WINNING TEAM will receive a trophy.  Runner’s Up will receive a medal. **
